Argentine Tango is a dance of improvisation between
a lead and a follow. There is no basic set pattern - only a set of guidelines setting it apart from other dances.

Argentine Tango - Level 1

Course Description:

  • This four week series is designed for those who are pure beginners, or for those who wish to improve on their core skills and techniques. Topics will include posture, cadencias (weight transfer), pivoting, embrace (the connection to your partner), leading and following, caminada (walking), la cruzada (the cross), ochos, paradas, mordidas, rock-step turns, and calesitas. The course is designed to give all the elements needed to dance a simple Argentine Tango.

Every four week series is different from the next. Basics of molinetes, sacadas, gonchos, boleos, ocho cortados, and other moves are covered.

  • This series is designed for those who are solid Argentine Tango skills and have at least more than 3 years of experience. Every class contains a review of the previous days' material and is combined to form mini-sequences designed for the dance floor. Topics covered include complex moves and challenging combinations, as well as elements from tango nuevo.

Course Description:

  • This eight week series is designed for the pure beginner. This four week series is designed for those who are pure beginners, or for those wish to improve on their core skills and techniques. The course is designed to give all the elements needed to dance a simple Argentine Tango. No Partner Required!

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private & Semi-Private Lessons

Private lessons are the best and fastest way to learn Argentine Tango. We, encourage everyone who wants to dance Tango well to arrange for private or semi private lessons. Advantages of private and semi-private lessons:

  • Dance with better dancers
  • Improve rapidly

Prices:

  • Single/Couple - $65/$70 per hour
  • Single/Couple - $60/$65 per hour* (with a min of 5 hours)
  • Single/Couple - $55/$60 per hour* (with a min of 10 hours)
All applicable taxes and studio fees are already included into the price!
*The time allotments of 5+ and/or 10+ hours are to be paid at the first session. Sessions can be divided up into 1 hour (or longer) sessions.
